A few modifications, a bit of a try out…a new category, feature files to download, that can be use for making reproductions of the original artwork, still have to figure out a lot of things, but I did want to start it even if I am not quite sure how to do that right, so it is a test, I will adjust if I do get some feedback…in the meantime the link to my ‘shop’ page on this site, and the photo of Shania Twain’s painting, I intent to set up a few more like that…I still have to cope too with the fact of selling numeric copies of my art work, it is not the traditionnal way to do it, but it may prove an interessant way to go, especially for people living far from my home town, Montreal…well will see how it goes…and also I do ask myself a lot of questions about the ‘ethic’ of marketing my art this way…among a few more questions, like why the water flowing down the drain of my toilet bowl turn clockwise, of course with the ‘liquid crystal’ of many watches today, I also wonder why that liquid isn’t affected by the Coriolis force, and I will spare you the many others things I’m asking myself on this bizarre saturday night, as for the ’boutique’ development, will see…
I went there. It looks good!
Thanks Resa, still working on it…take my time of painting, but I have to set it up….the most difficult thing for me is putting a price…and setting conditions for shipping, etc…
I’m also ‘struggling’ with the idea of selling the digital files of my works, there is always the risk that it can be used not in the way I want, but I think it is a good idea, the only thing is the price, I don’t want to put it too low but not too high…I guess just right..so maybe I should ask ‘The price is right?’, I think it was a TV program, if you have any thoughts on this, they are more than welcome.
If you can make enough money that it helps you in life, you should do it!
Perhaps the more people use your work…. for whatever they want – even if you don’t like what they use it for ….. the more then that will know about it, and the more precious the originals become!
Then you can make real money if you want!
Do I make sense?
Yes you do my dear friend…:) besides the photos I have on my various sites, some are of a good sizes, but not large enough to make very large reproductions, and available for free, maybe I should just put them at a low price on my site, and mention that the little bit of money is mainly to help me maintain my sites and cover some of the cost, and to see it as a way to encourage my work for a small cost. Soon I will get myself a better camera with larger files available. It is a work in progress…like my paintings…:)
