I am moving between three pastels these days, the nebula that became or is becoming a model, the other nebula that stays a nebula, even if it isn’t very definite..I guess it is is own nature, and Carla’s pastel, not much nebulosity in there…more like lights, forms…so the photo of this ‘real’ nebula, but it does look like a few things, a flower, or anything you can imagine, nebula are a bit elusive to draw or paint, they make good abstraction I guess, and they have a big advantage over a model, you can go wrong with your drawings and it doesn’t show too much…so this photo
So may as well show the Orion nebula picture, my nebulous model for this pastel, and the slideshow, and I think that it is coming close to the end, so I will be able to respect the quota imposed by the Association of Artists and art lovers about nebula to be respected…ouf I’m ok now…:)
I like these nebula(s)
Yes they have ‘something’ don’t know what but they do…:) maybe because I can really play with the colors…
Yes, the abstract nature of the image is appealing and up to interpretation both in form and color.
A playground for a painter…:)
Yes! 🙂
Also, all or at least many of your paintings have a background of nebula that you seemingly invent. You know I’ve always liked that about your paintings.
yes most of the time my backgrounds are almost abstract, sometimes peoples like the backgrounds or early stages more than the finished work…:)
Well, they can be exceptionally appealing!
The loose formation of the model within your early nebula is very dreamlike.. an unfinished symphony that whets imagination.
Good thing I am taking many pictures all along the process, maybe I could add them into my gallery, even if the finished work isn’t the same, the pics could provide another dimension to the work, maybe it is not very ‘ethical’, but on the other hand they are piece of art on their own, I should think more about that…
Yes! 🙂
