Oui comme je l’expliquais tant bien que mal à Maya en fin de semaine, parfois j’ai de la difficulté à garder le rythme et à dessiner, peindre, bloguer régulièrement et bien sûr m’occuper adéquatement de la chatte, mais c’est la faute à Microsoft, EA sports et autres calamités du genre, parfois lorsque je tombe ou retombe dans ces jeux, piloter des avions ou des F1, ou des voitures de rally, je me laisse prendre au piège, bien volontairement d’ailleurs…comme jusqu’à tard dans la nuit de samedi à dimanche, je m’entêtais à résoudre une partie de Spider niveau expert, je renouais avec cette suite après des années de d’addiction….victoire à 3:30 AM…la chatte était désespérée de son esclave humain qui se laisse si facilement transférer à un autre maître…:)

Yes poor Maya, does not understand how her human slave is able to let himself enslave by other masters, namely Microsoft, EA Play and others things like flying, racing in a F1, and after many years of being free from it, got taken, very willingly by Microsoft Solitaire collection Spider, did not remember exactly the goal and way to do it, so by 3:30 AM, I finally won an expert game, yeah, but Maya was pretty desperate of her now reclaimed slave…

Oui par contre j’ai tout de même dessiné un peu à la tablette, mais pour ce matin, j’opte plutôt de dépoussiérer une photo d’un tableau qui lui aussi devrait être retravaillé, celui de Liz, quoiqu’il semble que ce tableau est inspiré d’une photo où le visage de Liz, aurait été photoshopé dans une photo d’une modèle fétichiste, mais pour moi c’est tout de même un tableau à propos de LIz, une version du mois d’août 2022…. / But, I was not completely tied to games this week end, manage to draw quite a bit on my tablet, but this morning I won’t show the latest things about that, but more an old version of a painting waiting reworking, namely the one of Liz, which it seems was falsely photoshop on a fetish model, but that is besides the point, this is just a painting about her…

Un vieux tableaux…. An old painting….

Bon me voilà encore rendu à sortir mes vieilles affaires, il y en a beaucoup, je ne crois pas que je les montrerai toutes, certaines n’en valent peut-être pas la peine, donc ce ‘vieux’ tableaux, commencé en 2001 et terminé en 2002, est fait d’après une photo de la magnifique Shania Twain, un tableau, en fait j’en ai fait deux et un pastel….pas impossible que je revisite certaines photos pour en faire un tableau un de ces jours…en attendant, ce tableau d’après une photo qui je crois date de la période de son album ‘Come on over’ et de sa chanson ‘Man I feel like a woman’…

Yep, here I am again browsing through my old paintings and files, not all of them are worth a post, there is quite a few of them to present eventually, so this one is from a picture of the great singer Shania Twain, I think it was during her ‘Come on over’ album period, and her well know song ‘Man I feel like a woman’, I have another painting of her and a pastel, maybe some day, and I do have a few, should say many pics, so maybe I will ‘revisit’ them sometimes for another painting, will see, for now this one,,,

Une mise-à-jour de ce tableau, une version date du mois de mars, l’autre en mai, il me reste à ajouter ces deux photos au vidéo et diaporama, bientôt….enfin relativement bientôt…:)

An update, in fact two, on pic was taken in March, the most recent in May, still have to update pase, slideshow, video of this painting, should be done in a short time…I hope..:)

Les photos étaient prêtes depuis un certain temps, avant que je ne sois pris dans la folie du travail cet été et que je m’efface de mon blog pendant un certain temps….temps de les présenter maintenant. Première canicule…first heat wave

Oui on annonce la première canicule de l’été à Montréal, alors quoi de mieux qu’un petit retour en février, ….un tableau retravaillé à ce moment là, l’article lui un peu en retard, après le dégel et avant la chaleur. They do forecast the first heat wave this summer in Montreal, so a short flashback to February to cool down things, a painting I did reworked then, the post much later like now…

Ce tableau a été commencé en 2014, oui comme ceux et celles qui connaissent bien mon travail, je travaille lentement et en plus par moment de manière très sporadique…mais là je suis sur une lancée…3 jours, peut-être 4 en terminant cet article…:D

This painting started in 2014, not unusual for me if you know a bit my work and the way i do work more or less regularly…at least now I am on a streak , 3 days in a row I did at least some painting, maybe 4 if I do get off my blog now….:D

But before a video, a quick one so no fancy effects and the basic windows photo apps doesn’t offer much in transition effects, more like none….Mais avant un petit vidéo, sans flafla, l’application photo de Windows offre bien peu de possibilité pour les effets de transition, en fait aucune…

J’avoue que je ne connais pas sa musique, mais une photo prise lors d’un gala, American Music Award, pas sûr, a attiré mon attention, mon oeil plutôt…

I must admit, I don’t know her music, but this pic taken on a music award show, American Music Award, I am not sure…anyway the pic did caught my attention, rather I should say my eye…

Il y a longtemps, évidemment que ce tableau était là dans l’atelier, un des tableaux de Liz Hurley, signé mais pas vraiment, oui il l’était mais ce soir comme tout bon politicien qui se rétracte…j’ignore ma signature et comme je trouvais qu’il lui manquait un ‘je ne sais quoi’ ben je suis parti à la recherche de ce je ne sais quoi, pas très loin, l’atelier est à côté du bureau, qui parfois devient bureau, l’atelier lui ne devient jamais bureau, parfois entreposage, parfois tout simplement un coin perdu dans mon appartement…ce soir je m’y suis perdu pour retrouver ce tableau, on dit ici qui perd gagne…ouen ça fait pas des enfants forts ça…quoique maintenant dans les cabinet de gestion on dit plutôt une relation gagnant-gagnant, oui je sais ce n’est pas la même chose en principe, mais en général il y a toujours un côté qui perd…ou gagne moins, quant au tableau, il a gagné …je pense, au moins quelques taches de peinture de plus…

Of course, it’s been quite a long time that this painting was there, somewhere in the atelier, it was even signed…I guess that meant that it was finished, but this was some time ago, so like any politician, I did ignore my signature, but no treaty broken, just a painting that was over and now it is not over…Ain’t over till it’s over…can’t remember who said that, not Trump, not Trudeau, another ballgame I guess. So back to this painting of Liz Hurley it did miss a ‘ je ne sais quoi’ so like an intrepid explorer I went looking for it, not far, the Atelier is just beside my Office that sometimes become an extension of my atelier, but the Workshop, the english side of my Atelier, will never be par of my office, sometimes it become nothing but a place full of anything but Artwork. Did I find it this je ne sais quoi, I don’t know, I must say that not knowing what it was, it is difficult to find….anyhow I can’t tell if I did find something good but at least some fresh paint went over this canvas, and I thing it did gain something, often in these occasion it will also loose something, let’s stay on what’s sure…there is a fresh coat of paint on it

Et durant cette période, il semble que certaines photos aient été oubliées enfin ‘mon registre’ de photos de tableaux montre un certain flou, en tout cas la version précédente du tableau. As for the rest, it does look like there was some photos that I am not sure if they were presented or not, so here’s the previous version of this painting, at least the one I do have on my computer..

Béret blanc…White béret ? bonnet ?

Si vous habitez le Québec et que vous avez disons plus de 50 ans….les bérets blancs vous disent sûrement quelque chose, moi je me souviens dans les années 70, qu’ils se promenaient en vieux char, un drapeau ‘home made’ à la fenêtre avec le slogan ‘VERS DEMAIN’, qui curieusement pour eux voulait dire le contraire, retourner dans les années cinquante, à une époque où l’église catholique menait tout ici, un genre de ‘Forward to the past’, ils auraient au moins dû écrire ‘RETOURNONS À HIER’, aujourd’hui ceux qui se promènent avec un drapeau à la fenêtre de l’auto le font mais pour une autre religion soit le Canadien de Montréal, quoique plus discret depuis quelques années ou encore pendant la coupe du monde, où l’on peut constater que Montréal est cosmopolite. Tout cela pour m’amener à cette toile que j’ai reprise, un modèle arborant fièrement son béret blanc et autres, j’avoue qu’elle n’a pas le style des bérets dont je parlais au début de l’article…:)Ils l’auraient aspergé d’eau bénite…

I guess for you who weren’t living in Quebec in the seventies, the french words ‘Béret blanc’ does not ring a bell, they were a group longing to go back to traditional Catholic values, it was in the seventies, Quebec was moving forward, now maybe…but then they use to ride in these old cars, a home made flag wearing the words ‘VERS DEMAIN’ which translate as ‘toward Tomorrow’, when in fact they wanted to go back to the fifties, I guess the ones who come up with this slogan felt that it would be more appealing than ‘GO BACK TO YESTERDAY’ or go back a few decades….Today there are still peoples waving flags out of their car for some other religions, either the Montreal Canadiens or during the World Cup for example, when then we realized that Montreal is pretty much cosmopolite. So all of this to get to my painting, yes not talking much about painting technique…not quite to tell anyway, so what’s the link between the painting and the bérets blancs, well she’s wearing one, of a different type, and I think there’s not much more than that, in fact these folks being hard line Catholic would probably wanted to spray her with Holy Water…:)

Je pourrais écrire sur la technique mais finalement je doute que ce soit si intéressant que cela, autre que de dire ah ça bien été ou au contraire que je me suis perdu…si j’ai quelque chose d’important je le mettrai….en attendant j’aime mieux partir sur un élément et divaguer….:)

I could write more about painting technic, but not sure what I would write except for ah it went pretty good or it was a disaster could not get anything the way I want..instead I prefer picking sometimes just an item and start on something that may be distantly relevant….:)

Un autre de ces tableaux qui étaient tombés dans l’oubli, en fait un moment donné faudra bien que je change de refrain, ils étaient tous tombés dedans…qu’est ce que je disais donc, ah oui l’oubli….
Donc un tableau inspiré d’une nébuleuse, Pismis 24, pas sûr où c’est et Google pourrait nous le dire, quant à l’itinéraire….
On dit aussi, Hubert Reeves ? qu’on est tous poussières d’étoile et nébuleuse et je peux parfois être assez nébuleux, donc même Trump le serait aussi….hum, lui il doit venir d’un trou noir, apparemment toute la matière n’y est pas absorbée…et ce matin, le pôvre…il twit…ici au Québec un twit c’est un cave…enfin il twit que Google ne met que des liens qui nous mènent vers des sites de gauche qui ne voient pas sa grande sagesse…mon café passe de travers…

Another of these paintings long forgotten, well I will have to change this saying, after all they were all…what was I saying…ah yes forgotten. This painting is from a picture of a nebulae, Pismis 24, Google can probably tell you where it is, as for the itinerary I will let you find it… Somebody has written, Hubert Reeves ? that we are all part star dust or dust from a nebulae, well that mean that even Trump would be…he more than likely come from a black hole, apparently some matter can escape, in fact is rejected by a black hole…and this morning he’s complaining about Google, whor are misleading people searching him to leftist sites, who don’t tell the truth about him, they don’t show his great wisdom…I have almost chocked on my coffee…of course Québec and Canada, and socialist countries to him so…:)

J’ai travaillé d’après une impression de moindre qualité,l’image montre plus de choses intéressantes que j’aimerais bien mieux interpréter dans mon tableau…j’ai bien le goût de le pousser un peu plus mon tableau…vais le faire c’est sûr…
