Je n’avais pas réalisé que j’avais encore tant de photos de versions intermédiaires de mes tableaux en cours, une autre du mois d’août 2022, à peine plus d’un an, toujours en attente ce tableau, avec les autres…:)
I did not quite realize how many photos of my in progress paintings I took at different stages, here is one from a little bit more than a year, as for this painting, it is also sitting on ‘dedusting’ row and waiting to be reworked, I am getting to it…sometimes down there.
Le manteau qui recouvrait la chaise a fait place a un fond plus ou moins abstrait, qui est devenu plus un plancher ou un mur, ce qu’il y a derrière, donnant plus l’impression d’un passage bordant les cafés et bistros, par contre je ne sais pas si je préférais plus l’aspect plus flou de la version précédente, on verra dans la prochaine version qui devrait approcher de la fin, mettons l’emphase sur le terme approche, comme on dit en aviation, en approche finale, enfin je me suis surtout dit que cela attirerait moins l’oeil et donnerait de l’importance à LIz, qui a troqué les bas filets pour un jeans, elle fait un peu ‘rocker ou biker’, ce qui provient que selon certaines sources ce serait une image photoshopée, le tableau lui est vrai…Je ne compte plus le nombre de fois que j’ai dessiné ou peint cette actrice/modèle, les visages sont toujours un défi pour moi, j’ose présumer qu’après tant d’essais, je vais approcher quelque chose qui ressemblerait à une vague ressemblance…2022-05-01
The coat and fish net stockings are now completely gone, leaving the place to a somewhat half and half figurative and abstract background, that has then being transformed into a more and more like a floor, wall and the chair is more defined, dont know yet, I kind of prefer when it was a bit more abstract, so I guess we will see on the next and final (maybe, not a promise…) or as they say in aviation, on final approach to landing….,So for now it does look more like some ‘cafés devanture’ with chairs and table. As for Liz who look more like a biker or rocker type of model, I like the way the painting is coming, as for her face, I am not a great portraitiste, but I guess after many attempts at drawing or painting her, maybe I am getting to the point where she would almost possibly be recognizable…:) except maybe for her look which come from possibly a fake photo, with her face photoshoped on an image of another model who is more of a certain type of sites according to a few people who wrote me about this pic, but the painting itself is not faked…:) 2022-05-01
Comme je le mentionnais, j’ai été bien silencieux ces derniers mois, mais parfois je reprenais mes pinceaux…momentanément, ça c’était fin octobre, début novembre, une autre toile de Liz Hurley, qui porte des bottes, par hasard…
As I was writing recently, I’ve been very quiet these last months, but sometimes I did pick up my brushes, so another painting of Liz Hurley, who incidently is wearing beautiful boots…how unusual…
