Une autre photo prise de la fenêtre d’un avion, un  ‘Twin Otter’ cette fois-ci, le cheval de trait du Nord, cet avion peut se poser partout, vraiment partout…là on était en vol, la nuit polaire achève enfin, 4 mois de noirceur, 24 sur 24 à Eureka, c’était début février 1984, on partait ou on arrivait à Eureka, premier jour où le soleil daignait enfin venir jeter un coup d’oeil sur ces grandes étendues glacées….le premier jour à Eureka, le soleil reste…15 minutes…et voilà à demain…, en six semaines on passera de 24 heures de nuit à 24 heures de jour, comme il n’était pas resté longtemps à la station, on l’a poursuivi…en Twin Otter…en fait bien sûr on était plutôt en route pour d’autres lieux exotiques comme Mould Bay, Resolute Bay ou Alert….

Another pic taken from an airplane window, this time aboard a ‘Twin Otter’ the workhorse of the North, this plane could go anywhere, almost, it is almost floating in the air…so we were flying to or from Eureka, night flight for most of the time, it was early February and up to these latitudes, the sun just start coming up, it was 4 months of total darkness in Eureka, the first day it rises, it did stay for 15 minutes and the sun was gone, until the next day, it would take 6 weeks going from 24 hrs night to 24 hrs daylight…but that day since it went so fast we run after it, actually flew, chasing it….of course we were going to some other exotic place like Mould Bay, Resolute Bay or Alert…
