J’essayais de travailler sur une esquisse pour se mettre dans l’esprit de Noël….oui cela s’en vient, oui celui des campeurs mais aussi le vrai…dans quelques mois… Donc retravaillé une esquisse, et la photo du modèle, tout en expérimentant avec des outils Photoshop que je connais mais que je voulais approfondir….

I was trying to work on one of my in progress sketches, a bit in the Christmas spirit…crazy ? maybe but it is coming, soon for campers, a bit further down the way for the real thing, so was experementing on different Photoshop tools, layers, masks etc, on the sketch but also on the model photograph….

Mais pour le moment je ne peux que montrer l’ancienne version, l’ordi était lent, eu la bonne idée d’éliminer les historiques, un moment d’éclipse du cerveau, je pensais libérer de l’espace et redonner vie à l’ordi au lieu de faire comme d’habitude, fermer et redémarrer…au retour je constate avec consternation et en me maudissant…que je n’avais rien libéré, sauf le travail que j’avais fait sur la photo du modèle et bien sûr, tout ce que j’avais dessiné de nouveau…:)

but for now, no new material to show, the computer or Photoshop was slow, it does happen after a while, usually, I close the program and start again, this time, I guess I could call that a momentary laps of reason, I did flushed the history of the three files I had open, thinking it would free the program memory, it did not, but it did free all I did today…:)

Mais au moins, j’ai tout de même récupéré quelque chose, que je trouve intéressant, soit un masque, créé dans Photoshop, soit la forme de la sélection du moment, soit le modèle, une forme noire tout simplement, sur laquelle j’avais commencé à dessiner mais seulement certains traits, ou en ajoutant un peu de couleur, tout en utilisant les outils pinceaux et doigts, un comme on étend du pastel, ici des pixels bien sûr, moins salissant…parfois je me demande si c’est plus de la technique, on est loin du chevalet et pinceaux ou batonnets de pastel, et parfois j’ai l’impression de tricher, mais au fond c’est le résultat qui compte et si cela me plait, je pense que je ne devrais pas avoir de remors…:)

But at least I did recover something, I found the result, even if almost by accident, quite interesting, is it more Photoshop technic than ‘Art’ sometimes I feel I am a bit cheating maybe it is, but I like the result, so I guess that’s the only thing that should count…As for the technical aspect it is a mask made on a Photoshop layer, exported, so you have a black shape of the selection, the rest, a bit of drawing, bits of colors is me drawing, painting with the tablet…using mainly the brush tool and also the finger tool, a bit like spreading pastel with your fingers but here of course, I am spreading pastels…

Donc Art ou technique, enfin les deux, peu importe les outils pense que c’est de l’Art…après tout c’est le nom de mon blogue…:D

So, Art or Technic, probably both, or tools used to produce Art, after all that is the name of this blog…:D
